July 28, 2009 — Please have a look at my newest website feature I call "Lost Gems". On this page, I will post, monthly, an excerpt that was, for various reasons, left out of the final manuscript. I thought readers might enjoy seeing "what might have been" or reading in more detail, parts condensed due to my publisher's desire to limit the length of final book. I hope you enjoy these and would very much appreciate your feedback on this new feature.

July 26, 2009 — Surprise! I have finished the manuscript for my third book. However, it will not be the third book in The Venetians Trilogy. Instead, it is an action thriller which I hope can approach the success of novels by the likes of some of popular authors like Vince Flynn and Steve Berry. I'm currently seeking a publisher for the book and hoping to release it in early 2010. In the future, I will share my reasons for shifting focus from the "Venetians" series to this new genre. I love this book and hope you will too. Please drop me an email if this book sounds interesting. I am toying with the idea of posting the first chapter here on the website. Anyone Interested?

January 10th 2007 — An enthusiastic reader response and positive reviews by critics made The Lion of St. Mark a success. Many thanks to the thousands who read it and hundreds who took the time to write or email me. I am delighted to announce that the second book in the Venetians Trilogy will be called, The Sword of Venice, and is scheduled for publication in the fall of 2007 by Thomas Dunne Books (St. Martin's Press). I'm just finishing up the manuscript now. Antonio and Seraglio, as well as Soranzo are back, as are new characters, Constantine Ziani and Enrico Soranzo, who carry on their family's feud while they continue to defend Venice against her enemies. This time, most of the action takes place in Italy and provides a revealing insight into Renaissance politics and conflict. In the meantime, I visited Venice this summer as well as some of the other areas where scenes take place to ensure historical accuracy. As usual, though, the spotlight will be on the story. Thanks again to all for your support.
